Our 2025โ26 year in review
What does it mean to belong? To find a place where you feel at home, where your gifts are valued, where you can grow and learn, and where you discover that you are part of something larger than yourself?
At GoHealth, we believe that belonging is deeply connected to healing. Over the past year, Belonging as Healing has shaped our work, our relationships and our vision for the future. In a world marked by fragmentation, loneliness and uncertainty, we have continued to explore what it means to belong to God, to one another and to creation, and how this belonging can help us live healthier, more connected and more flourishing lives.
As we look back on 2025โ26, we are encouraged by the growing reach of our work, the deepening relationships within our community, and the opportunities emerging to bring the wisdom of Christian faith, health research and lived experience into more churches, communities and organisations.
Above all, we are grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.
A community where people find their place
One of the most encouraging developments this year has been the growth and deepening of the GoHealth Community.
Like many membership organisations, we face a challenging environment, with financial pressures, digital fatigue and wider social uncertainty. Yet our community has continued to grow. More importantly, it has continued to deepen.
Our online gatherings have become places of genuine connection and belonging, where people share experiences, encourage one another and discover that they are not alone. Feedback has been deeply moving, with many people describing GoHealth as a place where they feel at home. At Greenbelt, people spoke about GoHealth as having become โtheir placeโ.
Our annual Time of Reflection offered further encouragement. 93% of participants reported that they were flourishing more because of GoHealthโs resourcing. Alongside this, 72% wanted more online meet-ups, while 55% expressed interest in an in-person retreat.
These responses tell us something important. People value the teaching, resources and spiritual care that GoHealth provides, but they also want opportunities to connect, reflect and grow together.
We are learning that we are no longer simply an organisation with members. We are becoming a community in the fullest sense: a network of people who contribute, collaborate and shape the work together.
This is central to our developing vision. We want to nurture a wider movement of influence, bringing people together around a shared commitment to health, healing, faith and flourishing.
Bringing faith and health together in new ways
Throughout the year, we have continued to develop resources that bring contemporary health understanding into conversation with Christian wisdom and spiritual practice.
Two major launches have been particularly significant: the LiFT Programme and our Spiritual Intelligence course.
The LiFT Programme draws on lifestyle medicine research and the six pillars of health, offering a framework for exploring wellbeing through the integrated lens of science, faith and flourishing. More than 100 people engaged with the launch activity, and feedback has highlighted its potential for further development and adaptation for different audiences and contexts.
Our Spiritual Intelligence course brings together scientific research, theology and practical reflection, helping churches and groups explore spiritual intelligence, mission and pastoral care. The response has been encouraging: 113 churches, chaplaincies and other groups registered interest, and 59 groups ran the course during the autumn.
These resources reflect what makes GoHealth distinctive. We bring together disciplines and perspectives that are too often kept apart, creating opportunities for people to explore how faith, health and spirituality can inform one another in the realities of everyday life.
Our Everyday Healing course has also continued to introduce individuals and church groups to the GoHealth approach, encouraging a deeper understanding of healing presence.
As interest in our resources grows, we are also recognising the importance of investing in their ongoing development, creating clearer pathways for people to engage with our work and ensuring that our resources can reach and serve different communities.
Equipping churches, leaders and organisations
Increasingly, churches and organisations are approaching GoHealth for training, resources, advice and partnership. This growing interest reflects a recognition that we have a distinctive contribution to make to conversations about health, healing, wellbeing and faith.
During the year, we delivered training for church leaders and chaplains, undertook leadership development work with the Church in Wales, provided a wellbeing workshop for the Retreat Association, and contributed a Master’s-level Common Awards module through the Scottish Episcopal Institute. We also undertook advisory work with the Theos theological think tank and explored partnership opportunities with The Leadership Academy.
Our work with chaplains has continued to develop. We delivered training for workplace chaplains in the Church of Scotland, continued developing our Chaplaincy Course, and prepared an online, self-led version as a continuing professional development resource.
We have also seen growth in organisations purchasing our online courses. The Church in Wales purchased places on Burn Like Stars; Sheffield Diocese purchased Being Trauma Informed and commissioned additional introductory materials; and Chaplaincy Stafford combined in-person training with resource purchasing. Further conversations with dioceses and organisations are opening up possibilities for future work.
Alongside this, talks, workshops and public events have continued to introduce new audiences to GoHealth, create opportunities for partnership and support the development of sustainable income through training and resources.
All of this points towards an important opportunity: to help more churches and organisations explore what it means to nurture health, healing and flourishing within their own communities.
Healing that grows locally
Our vision is not simply to create good resources or deliver excellent training. It is to see the work of healing take root in the places where people live, worship, work and build relationships.
Our Healthy Healing Hub network is an important expression of this vision. This year, we continued supporting existing coordinators and learning more about how local expressions of healing ministry can flourish.
We also developed relationships with new networks, including Waterways Chaplains, the Retreat Association, The Leadership Academy and Theos.
These relationships matter because healing is lived out in particular places, through particular people and within the relationships that sustain our communities. Resources and training can equip people, but it is through local presence, connection and practice that this work becomes part of everyday life.
We want to continue strengthening these connections, supporting those already involved and creating opportunities for more people to participate.
Listening to our community and shaping what comes next
This year, we made a deliberate investment in listening to our members and the wider community. Through our Time of Reflection and ongoing feedback, we sought to understand not only what people value about GoHealth, but also how they want to participate in its future.
Three strengths came through particularly clearly: Christian healing and spiritual care; personal encouragement, reflection and support; and high-quality teaching and theological formation.
Members also expressed interest in more retreats, personal support through spiritual direction, coaching and peer companionship, local small groups for prayer and networking, interactive learning, partnerships with theological colleges and spirituality centres, and carefully curated resources for research, worship and reflection.
These insights are helping shape our strategic priorities. They point towards a desire for both depth of learning and meaningful connection, for resources that inform and inspire, and for communities in which people can put their learning into practice and support one another.
Our challenge is to respond well: to develop what people value, explore new opportunities thoughtfully, and build the structures and partnerships needed to sustain this work.
A significant opportunity: Acorn Christian Healing Foundation
One of the most significant developments of the year has been the opportunity to welcome the work of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation into GoHealth.
This opportunity has emerged from shared values, shared history and a common commitment to Christian healing, prayer, formation and community.
For both organisations, this is about more than organisational change or finding a new home for a course. It is an opportunity to bring together wisdom, experience, heritage and resources in ways that can strengthen the wider movement of Christian healing.
Our conversations with Acorn trustees and stakeholders have involved listening, prayerful discernment, positive relationships and careful practical consideration. We have sought to approach the process in a way that reflects the very values we seek to embody in our work.
The opportunity aligns strongly with our strategic direction: building communities, strengthening networks and ensuring that the gifts of Christian healing continue to serve individuals, churches and wider society.
We look forward to exploring what this can make possible for the future of Christian healing.
Growing our influence and reaching new audiences
Our work this year has also been supported by continued investment in communications.
Through our website, social media, podcasts and other channels, we have sought to make GoHealth’s work more visible, communicate our values clearly and help people discover resources that meet real needs.
Wendy Ball has made a significant contribution to this work, helping us reach new audiences and supporting collaboration across our remote team. Despite meeting physically only twice a year, we have continued to develop ways of co-producing content, coordinating delivery and working together effectively.
Our public presence has grown through speaking engagements, workshops, podcast appearances and media engagement, including BBC Radio 4 coverage following our conversation with the Bishop of London (now Archbishop of Canterbury). Our presence at Greenbelt provided another important opportunity to connect with new audiences and strengthen our profile.
Alongside these activities, we have continued to strengthen our networks and explore new opportunities for partnership.
We are encouraged by the increasing number of organisations approaching us, whether to commission training, purchase resources or explore ways of working together. This growing interest suggests that GoHealth has an important contribution to make, and that there is further potential to develop our reach and influence.
Caring for the health of GoHealth itself
As our work grows, we recognise that we must also attend to the health and sustainability of the organisation.
During the year, we strengthened systems and processes, developed improved project planning and delivery, continued monthly team meetings, invested in team connection and wellbeing, and made further improvements to governance and trustee support.
The launch of the LiFT Programme was a particularly significant example of the team working together. Our most complex project to date, it required substantial collaboration across the organisation. Although challenging, it demonstrated the strength of our shared values, our ability to co-create and our commitment to delivering high-quality resources with compassion.
We have sought to remain attentive not only to what we do, but to how we do it. If we want to nurture healing, belonging and flourishing in others, these values need to shape our own ways of working, too.
This is ongoing work. Sustaining our mission requires thoughtful development, good governance, strong relationships and the resources to support the people and systems on which our work depends.
Looking ahead: a shared invitation
Looking back on 2025โ26, we see a year of growth, deepening relationships and new opportunities. We have developed resources, equipped churches and leaders, strengthened our networks, listened to our community and begun exploring how the work of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation might contribute to a wider future for Christian healing.
But this is not simply a story about what GoHealth has done. It is a story about what becomes possible when people come together around a shared vision of health, healing, faith and flourishing.
We want to build a community in which people find encouragement and belonging, where churches are equipped to nurture healing, and where the wisdom of Christian faith can contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of individuals and society.
There is more to do. We need to keep developing our resources, strengthening our local networks, building partnerships and ensuring that our work is sustainable for the future.
And we cannot do this alone.
There are several ways to be part of what comes next.
