Any good GoHealth does isn’t down to us – it is God at work, and people choosing to join in. We can’t do this on our own, and we don’t want to. We pay close attention to what’s actually helping people: listening to their stories, noticing what’s landing, and letting that shape what we do next. We are building community – through courses, gatherings and resources – to meet a world where so many of us know the very real weight of suffering, isolation, burnout, and a longing for something more. The one thing we’re sure of is that we have to do this together.

Read on to see what’s shaping our work, and hear some real stories along the way. If it moves you, join in and support us. The more people who do, the more health, healing and hope can grow – in us, our communities, and the world around us.

Be part of the change

The impact of GoHealth is not seen in what we produce, it is seen in the transformations that happen in people’s lives and in our communities. We are always encouraged when we hear about:

  • people who leave our courses with renewed courage
  • church leaders who feel less alone
  • health professionals who find language for their vocation
  • communities that begin to practise belonging more deeply
  • individuals who discover again that they are beloved by God.

This is the change we are working for.

And we would love you to be part of it.

“GoHealth plays a vital and inspirational role in promoting the well-being of those in ministry, both lay and ordained. Their commitment to holistic care and spiritual resilience is both timely and deeply needed. The creativity and depth of their online courses are a real gift, offering accessible and enriching resources to support those serving in often demanding contexts. GoHealth’s work is a beacon of hope and healing in the life of the Church today.” – Revd Canon Dr Trystan Owain Hughes, Director of Ministry Development for the Church in Wales

Why your support matters

GoHealth has been nurturing the relationship between Christian faith, health and healing for more than a century. We continue to explore what it means to respond to Jesus’ command to heal. We do this in the context of real need, pain and suffering in our lives and in the world today.

This work is needed urgently:
  • People are tired. Burnout remains widespread, and health services are under immense pressure.
  • Communities are stretched, still carrying the effects of the pandemic alongside growing isolation and social fragmentation.
  • Church leaders are carrying more than they can easily name, while unhealthy systems too often ask individuals to absorb the cost of change that has not happened.
  • People still believe in the healing power of the Gospel and want practical, theological resources to help them offer hope within their communities.
  • The insights of whole-person health are not yet well integrated into the healing ministry of the Church – and the wisdom of faith is too often absent from wider conversations about health.
  • Health professionals are seeking ways to hold together vocation, compassion, resilience and their own wellbeing.
  • Many people are longing for healing but are unsure where to find the language, community, resources or hope they need.
Your support helps us respond, including helping us to:
  • create spaces for reflection, belonging, learning and prayer
  • develop resources for churches and individuals
  • train and accompany Healthy Healing Hubs
  • support leaders and health professionals
  • make our work accessible to people who could not otherwise take part.

What changes?

Healing isn’t only something we hope for – it’s something we can learn to notice, nurture and practise, in our own lives, churches, and communities.

Through the GoHealth Community, our Healthy Healing Hub network, courses, training, coaching and podcast, we help people find the courage, language and support to become healing presences wherever they are.

When we know they are beloved by God, something changes. We live with more freedom. We grow in our capacity to care for others, notice where suffering is carried, and find language and the actions for hope.

That is the impact we exist to make.

How we look for signs of transformation

What happened in 2025/26

93% of respondents said they felt more equipped, hopeful or less alone (2025 Annual Reflection)

Numbers matter. We track participation, membership, attendance and engagement. But numbers alone cannot tell us whether real change has happened. We do not want to measure only what is easy to count.

We look for signs of impact by asking a simple but profound question:

What is different for people because they have encountered GoHealth?

We ask:

What, if anything, is different for you? And how is this enabling greater health and healing in your own life and community?

Through these stories, we are learning how GoHealth helps people grow in faith, health, purpose and belonging.

Listening for what really matters

We want to understand what is truly changing.

So we look for evidence of transformation in what people think, feel, say and do after engaging with GoHealth.

We listen for shifts such as:

  • a new understanding of Christian healing
  • how faith and science connect together for human flourishing
  • a deeper sense of being loved by God
  • greater confidence to care for self and others
  • a stronger sense of vocation or purpose
  • more courage to speak about suffering, health and faith
  • practical action within a church, workplace or community
  • new partnerships, conversations or initiatives
  • a greater sense of belonging.

We are interested in both immediate impact and long-term change.

Sometimes transformation is visible quickly. Sometimes it begins quietly, in the form of a new question, a different conversation, or a person feeling less alone.

We believe those shifts matter.

“I lost my faith, but this course opened my eyes to what healing is – it is so far beyond just a healing service in the church. I have gone away very inspired.” – Alan (Everyday healing course)

The change we are working for

If our work is having the impact we hope for, then we expect to see people growing in four connected ways.

1. People rediscover that they are beloved by God

So much suffering is deepened by shame, isolation, exhaustion or the feeling that we are somehow not enough.

GoHealth helps people reconnect with the truth at the heart of Christian healing: that every person is beloved by God.

This is not sentimental. It is the foundation for courage, dignity and change.

When people know they are beloved, they become more able to live as they are, not as they think they ought to be. They become more able to receive care, offer care, and discern what healing might look like in real life.

Receiving emails from the GoHealth team has helped me not to feel alone!

2. We gain language, confidence and practices for healing

We offer theological, spiritual and practical resources that help everyone engage with health and healing in a grounded way.

Through our courses, events, podcasts, training and community life, we find language, tools, practices and encouragement that support our daily life.

  • We may begin to think differently about healing
  • We may feel less alone
  • We may find new ways to pray, reflect, rest, lead or serve
  • We may gain confidence to bring healing into the places where we already live and work
  • We may find theological and evidence-informed ways to explore themes like burnout, trauma, racism, disability, and the health of the environment.

All these things leave us equipped to nurture healing in ourselves and shape safe, healing spaces in the world.

3. Churches become safer, more compassionate places of belonging

Healing is not only personal. It is communal.

Through the Healthy Healing Hub network and our wider training, we support churches and Christian communities to become more attentive to suffering, more compassionate in practice, and more confident in their healing ministry. Signs of transformation include:

  • a church creates space for honest conversation
  • a leader feels less alone
  • a community asks better questions about belonging, trauma, illness, prayer, disability, grief, vocation or care.

Small shifts matter. They can change the atmosphere of a whole community.

4. People take healing into everyday life, work and community

Our work helps people connect faith with everyday life.

We want people to leave a GoHealth course, event, conversation or podcast not only encouraged, but more able to act. These actions may be:

  • quiet and personal
  • relational or communal
  • professional, missional or public.

What matters is that people grow in their ability to notice where God is already at work reducing suffering and enabling flourishing – and to join in.

Stories of impact

We are gathering stories of transformation from across the GoHealth community. We are seeking the wide range of ways our work is being a gift to others. We’ve learnt about:

  • people seeking healing for themselves or those they love
  • church leaders supporting others and finding ways to take better care of themselves – in the midst of the immense pressures they navigate
  • health professionals integrating faith, vocation and practice
  • churches exploring what it means to be places of belonging and healing
  • partner organisations using our resources to support their teams and networks.

Again and again, we hear that GoHealth gives people language for something they already sensed but could not always name: that healing is deeper, wider and more ordinary than they had imagined. And that accessible practices and regenerative approaches to leadership are making a concrete difference in people’s lives.

“At the end of our ministry conference on wellbeing, Gillian’s presentations brought additional depth to our understanding of stress and burnout. She spoke with an authority clearly borne out of personal experience and deep reflection on what it means to flourish and thrive amidst the challenges and demands of life and ministry. The material she offered us was so rich and extensive that we could have spent a whole day exploring.” – The Rt Revd Cherry Vann, Archbishop of Wales
