At GoHealth, we are passionate about exploring how faith and health science can come together to support wellbeing in communities. That’s why we are delighted to help Chloe Allen, a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, in connecting with Christian faith leaders for her doctoral research.
About the Research
Chloe’s research focuses on understanding Christian faith leaders’ experiences and perceptions of psychosis. She is particularly interested in how faith leaders support people experiencing psychosis, and what insights they have on this. There is very little research published on this topic, especially in the UK context. Chloe hopes that her work will contribute to mental health services becoming more culturally sensitive, person-centred, and responsive to faith communities.
About Chloe
Chloe brings a unique perspective to this research. She is a practising Christian, worshipping weekly at an Anglo-Catholic church in South-East London, and has personal experience of mental health challenges. Professionally, she has worked extensively with adults in mental health crises and is passionate about holistic approaches that integrate psychological science with faith perspectives. Her background allows her to approach this research with both clinical expertise and lived experience, providing a rare and valuable lens on how faith and mental health intersect.
