We commend to your mercy, O God, those who are suffering from illnesses which are beyond the reach of human skills. Give them courage to endure patiently, and faith to trust you fully, even though your way is hidden from their sight. So may they fear no evil, knowing that you are with them, and will be with them to the end, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
