A path for flourishing

Are you seeking a gentle space to reconnect with your faith and find renewal?

This short film from Dr. Richard Tiplady (recently featured on BBC Songs of Praise TV programme) offers a warm, reflective journey inspired by the spiritual insights of mountain and wilderness experiences.

Through pauses, gentle questions and opportunities for reflection, you will explore how creation, community and quietness can bring healing and deepen your relationship with God. You will also be invited to notice how wilderness wisdom can shape everyday life, helping you cultivate attentiveness, simplicity and a sense of travelling light.

These insights are not only for mountain tops. They are for the wilderness within and for the ordinary places where God meets us with hope and generosity.

Dr Richard Tiplady is an experienced adult educator and leadership coach whose work brings together learning, faith and the wisdom of the outdoors. He is a qualified Mountain Leader, currently training for his Winter Mountain Leader award, and is also developing his practice as an outdoor adventure therapist. His background includes over 25 years in senior leadership, including 13 years as a charity chief executive. He holds a PhD in leadership development in charities and social enterprises and an MSc in charity management, and has taught leadership at Masters level since 2006.

Richard’s approach is rooted in paying close attention to people and place. He teaches others to read the land, notice the conditions and understand themselves, walking with the natural rhythms of the day. His hope is to create space for learners to move beyond their limits, to tread lightly and to consider the kind of footprints they want to leave in the world. Whether on a hillside or in everyday life, he invites us to explore what responsible, ethical and faith filled adventure can look like.

These insights are not only for mountain tops. They are for the wilderness within and for the ordinary places where God meets us with hope and generosity.
