This online self led course is an invitation to explore vital questions of health and wellbeing, and the role of the church in healing. It is based on a lecture given by The Very Revd. David Lunan, former Moderator of The Church of Scotland.
We all have questions about our health. How do we improve it, how we cope with it, or how we thrive when it begins to fail. Somewhere in the midst of that we will have questions about what God is doing – or perhaps isn’t doing.
We invite you to explore these questions further this self led online course: ‘The Kingdom of God is Creation Healed’. Topics such as prayer; forgiveness; miracles; why we avoid the healing ministry; the role of the church at the time of death; and how the church might take a more preventative role to mitigate against poor health in the first place.
The course consists of a recorded lecture titled, ‘The Kingdom of God is Creation healed’ delivered by The Very Revd. David Lunan and accompanying questions.
David is a Church of Scotland Minister and former Moderator of the Church of Scotland’s General Assembly (2008-09). His lecture reflects on forty years of wrestling with this question: ‘How does God heal today?’
