Reconciliation & Healing

In this issue of Chrism we explore Reconciliation in various contexts: first with Padraig O’Tuama, Leader of the Corymeela Community, a place that has achieved some notable successes in Northern Ireland. This is followed by Ruth Musgrave’s article on a reconciliation initiative in Bangladesh. Steve Froud then provides an insightful account, from a Christian nurse’s perspective, of the need for and means to achieve reconciliation within multidisciplinary teams; and our new Director, Revd Dr Gillian Straine outlines her preliminary thoughts about the Guild’s future, bearing in mind that the recent reuniting of two former guilds is, of itself, an act of reconciliation. The theme is extended in the narrative of Frances Young’s journey of faith with her disabled son, and in Helen Warwick’s reflective journey to her new position at Holy Rood House.
