Healing in the New Testament and Now

This edition of Chrism is about Christian healing: as it occurred in New Testament times , as Jesus used it as a means of proclamation of the Gospel and how we can understand and engage in this ministry to proclaim the Gospel afresh in our own generation. The first article is one that was offered by the Reverend Canon Tony Kerswill arising from his experience as a Bishop‟s Adviser for this ministry. This is complemented by Bishop Nicholas Reade‟s article which is based on a talk he gave at a conference for Healing Advisers. Helen Leathard‟s article contrasts markedly with these two by taking Jesus‟ teaching on the futility of worry and relating that to our modern understanding of stress and the disorders caused by worry. Jan Berry‟s contribution from CSTH seems to provide a binding together of all of these.
