Guild News Apr 2018

The Director's Thoughts

Welcome to the Summer edition of Guild News.

The Guild is looking forward to an exciting year of events, and I am working hard with the trustees to develop our resources and our outreach to support you in your ministry.

I am often struck while visiting, training and speaking about the healing ministry, that sometimes people feel that ‘healing’ is something that the clergy do. However, if we look into Christ’s mandate to ‘make disciples of all nations and to heal’ there is nothing about it being the job of the ordained. Healing is a key part of the mission of the church that is for all believers, and not just those who are ordained. And this is really important. At the Guild we firmly believe that this is a task that is shared by all, and that in many different ways we can each participate in healing our world and doing so in the name of Christ.

Please do look out for the events listed in Guild News that are happening over the next twelve months – it will be great to see you there. And remember, please invite me to visit your branch so that I can learn from you about how the Guild can support you. Also, please do visit our website and see the News page where you can keep up to date with everything that is happening. If you are on social media, then find us on Twitter and Facebook too.
